Lift your Eyes

Christ died
Christ rose from the dead
And, Christ will come again!

Why did He die...
So that I may live forever with God, versus forever apart from God. I am a sinner who has broken God's law. The Bible says that blood has to be shed in order to pay for one's sins. In other words, a sacrifice of life for the payment of sins is required. And, Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice! He humbly lived on earth and fulfilled God's Law perfectly with Love. Now, I can celebrate because I am set FREE from that penalty. I can look to Jesus' life and try to live as He did, because my Father in heaven gave Him to me to cherish. My Father in heaven gave Him to me, to provide a way for me to have a closer relationship with Him. Without Jesus I would be FAR away from God. Instead of being captured by Jesus' beauty, without Him, I would be bound by the lies of darkness thinking that there is another way to get to heaven, maybe through my own 'good' works, or just not caring.

Why did Christ rise from the dead...
Because He is God in the form of man!

Christ will come again...
Yes, He will. The Bible says that He will return! There are many prophesies in the Bible that have been fulfilled, such as Jesus' first coming. Jesus' return, or second coming, is one that I am joyously waiting for. I have definitely seen strength rise, as I wait upon the Lord, but because I am imperfect... I am always having to remind myself that He is strong when I am weak.

Jesus the Mystery

Lately, I have really felt the wait. The patient wait (to live is Christ!), yet the waiting for what is much greater to come. This life really is short compared to eternity. While I am passing through on this adventurous journey God has blessed me with called Life, may I be a little glimmer for His glory. Life is a refreshing word to say if eternal death isn't stopping it!
