THANKFUL

Thankful for a spontaneous weekend trip to the Desert sand I grew up on. Thankful for a day with my best friend. Thankful that she is going to be a Mom and that the baby God is knitting in her belly is healthy. Thankful for the Beal family and their love for God. Thankful to join them at a community group full of saints 30 years or more my senior. Thankful for their joy in all of the trials these grey haired brothers and sisters are facing. Thankful for the unity I experienced with them despite age gaps. Thankful for the hospitable couple that hosted the community group. Thankful for their desire to reach the communities needs. Thankful for my Mom and the time I got to spend wit her this weekend. Thankful that the Lord blessed my dear sister Heidi with a cute apartment, built in the 1970's, with it's original 1970's stove that we got to cook Breakfast on. Thankful for all the fun encouraged by the glittery counter tops in her apartment that lightened moments and continued to make us feel like we had been zapped into the 1970's. Thankful for the beautiful weather, palm trees, a day at the pool with family and floppy hats, and an evening to watch the sunset behind the mountains, after I spent time writing in my journal. Thankful that I got to have lunch with my brother Danny and his girlfriend Liz. Thankful that I got to sit and have my family with me, a rare occurrence, at church today, and that they got to hear the truth of the Word preached. Thankful for Grace Chapel and all the blessings that come every time I visit that Church family!
